You'll be in control of both characters as you go through various riddles to progress through the game. Because each difficult level requires the usage of teamwork to complete, you will need to take control of both characters in order to solve the riddles. Fireboy is able to go through lava pits and other hazards involving fire without any difficulty. However, if he attempted to walk across a puddle, he would be squelched and put out of existence. The same is true with Watergirl; she has no trouble walking through puddles, but she cannot survive being set ablaze. Avoid becoming involved with those at any cost. The game is over for you when one of your characters passes away. Therefore, I ask that you make an effort to prevail over the obstacles presented in the game.
